What do you want for your future?
Future planning is about making decisions about your money based on what you want for your future. It's about setting goals and deciding how much risk you will take with your investments. It's also about understanding what lifestyle you want to lead and how much you can afford to spend every month.
If you want to achieve your goals, you need to know how to set your sights on the prize. We can help you with all of this and then to plan how you'll get there.
Making your future secure.
With a financial plan, you can rest easy knowing you are prepared and in control of your future.
In addition to the peace of mind that comes with being prepared for the future, there are countless advantages of financial planning.
From emotional and health-associated benefits to social and economic benefits, financial planning positively impacts every aspect of your life.
Small wins eventually accumulate into significant financial milestones, such as purchasing a car, paying off your mortgage, saving for your child’s education, or being able to stop work and retire comfortably.
Any Questions?
We’re all ears. Check out the frequently asked questions below or get in touch with us – and let’s get your journey started.
Talk to the Team
Am I too old to start looking at pensions?
No, absolutely not!
Each month, part of your wage is taken and put into a pension scheme. Your employer will contribute to this pension with you.
The government also helps with tax relief. For each pound you add to the pension, the government adds (roughly) another pound.
This means that, even if you’re in the pension plan for only a few months, you are getting “free” money from your employer and the government added to the contributions you make. If your employer allows you to contribute with salary exchange, it is even better, with more free money added. However, it means that you need to look at your pension as soon as possible!
Am I too young to be thinking about my pension?
Once again, no!
In addition to the reasons we covered above, the longer you are in a pension plan, the more you benefit, thanks to compound interest.
How much do I need to retire?
The cost of retirement is different for each person.
Here at my corinthian, we take the time to get to know what your situation is and work with you to make sure that you have a financial plan in place.
Is a pension a risky idea?
This depends on you as a person.
Everybody has what we call an “attitude to investment risk”.
This is how you want your pension invested. It is a unique attitude for you and can change over time and under different circumstances.
At my corinthian, we work to help you understand your attitude to investment risk and make sure that your pension is invested appropriately. We will then regularly review this investment to make sure it still works for you.
What happens if I change my job?
If you change careers, you still have access to your whole pension pot. It belongs to you, so you can leave it where it is, transfer it to a plan with your new employer, or claim it if you’re old enough to retire. There is no penalty for any of these options.
Does it cost money to sign up to my corinthian?
my corinthian has been designed to give sound, financial planning advice to everyone, regardless of their situation.
While we do charge a fee for our services, it is much lower than a typical wealth management service. The amount we charge depends on the services we perform for you, and we don’t charge you unless you’re happy with the final price. Your fee is deducted from your pension, so you don’t have to think about it.
